Non-Stationary Power System Forced Oscillation Analysis Using Synchrosqueezing Transform

چکیده
Non-stationary forced oscillations (FOs) have been observed in power system operations. However, most detection methods assume that the frequency of FOs is stationary. In this paper, we present a methodology for analysis non-stationary FOs. Firstly, Fourier synchrosqueezing transform (FSST) used to provide concentrated time-frequency representation signals allows identification and retrieval signal components. To continue, Dissipating Energy Flow (DEF) method applied extracted components locate source oscillations. The tested using simulated as well real PMU data. results show proposed FSST-based decomposition provides systematic framework application DEF Method

Time-Frequency Analysis of Non-Stationary Waveforms in Power-Quality via Synchrosqueezing Transform
An accurate time-frequency representation (TFR) can provide useful information in non stationary data analysis and processing. The traditional methods like short-time Fourier transform (STFT) and wavelet transform (WT) based TFR approaches are leads to a tradeoff between time and frequency resolution. A recently proposed synchrosqueezing transform (SST), which is an extension of the WT, has bee...
متن کاملDetection of power oscillation and simultaneous faults using Clark transform
Distance relays are widely used to protect transmission lines. Sometimes, in these lines due to the occurrence of the oscillation of the power, the impedance calculated in the distance relay enters into its functional zones and leads to the cutting off of the lines. This issue can cause global power outages. Accordingly, in this paper, a Clark-based method for detecting the oscillation of power...
متن کاملPower System Transient Analysis Using Wavelet Transform
This paper presents time-frequency multiresolution wavelet analysis on power system transients. Since it is difficult to analyze transients on-site due to a vast amount of data recorded from a digital transient recorder, it is imperative to develop an intelligent recorder which has the ability to detect and classify different types of power system transients. In order to develop a good approach...
متن کاملThe Synchrosqueezing transform for instantaneous spectral analysis
The Synchrosqueezing transform is a time-frequency analysis method that can decompose complex signals into time-varying oscillatory components. It is a form of time-frequency reassignment that is both sparse and invertible, allowing for the recovery of the signal. This article presents an overview of the theory and stability properties of Synchrosqueezing, as well as applications of the techniq...
متن کاملAnalysis of non-stationary electric signals using the S-transform
Purpose – The purpose of this paper is to compare the accuracy of tracking the amplitude and frequency changes of non-stationary electric signals. Design/methodology/approach – Short-time fourier transform (STFT) and S-transform algorithms were applied to analyze non-stationary signals originating from switching of capacitor banks in a power system. Findings – The S-transform showed possibiliti...
